Hi all,

Just wondering if any f30 owners have these issues:

1. Stereo and lights jump a little when the automatic stop start turns the car back on.
2. On a coldish morning the car sounds a little rattly when you first turn it on.

I can't remember the last time I used auto stop start as its been so long, but I'd say it isn't normal. It should be pretty seamless as far as the other electronics in the car go. Worth a trip to you dealer to get it looked at.

1) doesnt happen to mine
2) if yours is a 328i then yes sounds a little industrial in the mornings.

1) haven't used stop-start for a long time now... but when it was on, it didn't do that
2) agree, if it's a 328, it will sound a little rough

The 328i sounds rattly in all weather, courtesy of the Bosch HDEV5.2 solenoid valve injectors. If your car didn't have this sound, then it would have serious issues.
