328xdrive Diesel Wagon! Its officially coming!

This year the gas Touring 3er will be joined by the diesel. Xdrive only and NO manual transmission, only the 8 auto (which is fine!).

Thank you BMW for listening to your customers!

I will be ordering this vehicle. Any word on the M Sport package and if it will be possible to get the adjustable dampers?

The Msport will have another option available to buyers which will add M-suspension, Brakes and a couple other things which is apparently good value from what I heard.

I think he means the AT is an excellent tranny, I tried one and it works very well, but still i would also like to have the stick option...

I'm a fan of manual transmissions, but it's not much fun driving a diesel with a MT. The eight speed AT is probably better suited to this engine.

BMW Canada will not bring us manuals in those models because of how low the take rate is. People ask for it but when it comes time to buy they disappear lol.
I have clients who switched to the 8speed and don't regret it at all but if you are looking for a sporty toy, manual is still the way to go IMO.

Pricing should be approx. $1400 over the sedan and we've started securing production numbers already.
No offical date but July build/August delivery so Euro delivery wouldn't be a problem since they are building them in July.

Just book well in advance because of all the extra paperwork and planning.

I was mainly preoccupied by its availability for an August delivery at the Welt.

Nope. It will be called a 328d here but I do believe it is a 320d in Europe.

I rented a 320d F30 from Avis in Munich last year. Really incredible engine. We did several autobahn runs, including one run up to nearly 240 km/h, and still averaged 6-ish l/100km overall.

320d was at Toronto Auto Show

I'm looking forward to the diesel option. The lease is almost up on my 2009 328i but will wait to replace it until I can get a look at the diesel. I would prefer the sedan (although I like the Touring) because I don't want the Xi option. My other car is a Golf TDI and I love the diesel. It is very economical and has tons of grunt.

The wagon with be a 328d Xdrive only.

too bad you are too far from the GTA or I could have helped.

Best of luck and put your order in soon before you need to wait too long.
