BMWCCA rewards check question

I'm a fairly new BMWCCA member and was wondering how the rewards check works. Do you have to be a member for a year prior to when you order the car or when you actually pay for it when picking it up from the dealer? Anyone know? thanks

Yes, you must be a member in good standing and you must have been a member for over one year.

Saaaay i'm a member for 10 months, can i order my car so that when it arrives in 2 months it will have then been a year of membership. or do you have to sign the purchase agreement at the time of ordering the car (which would reflect, car bought in month 10)? Of course you'd want to lock in the negotiated price prior to ordering the car so that the dealer doesn't pull some crap last minute, buuuut do you see what i mean here.

will i be disqualified for ordering the car at 10 months but not actually paying for it until a year has passed? it's confusing i know

that'd be cutting it a bit close for my tastes,

you need to take delivery of the car longer than 1 year after joining

it's delivery date, not order date, but you may want to give it a couple more weeks just to make sure you're covered

takes them about 6 weeks to get you a check

E.D. and Rebate

For E.D., it is 1 year + 1 day from start of membership to re-delivery of BMW to your LOCAL dealer.
