Lifetime Sirius Included!!!
Well, I just got my ride, activted Sirius, and it came with a LIFETIME subscription - that rocks! I expected 1 yr.
That is a $499 deal, and that makes the Sirius option a no brain deal. Anyone else get that lucky?

Was this dealer bought & installed? What did the dealer charge you in total? I am in the process of considering sirius install also. Did you have to activate it or did the dealer? Did you ask for the free offer or did the sirius customer service just offer it?
Tks braz |

I think I could probably sell it with the car??? That would be a cool deal.

I did nothing, dealer did nothing - I just called to activate and the guy said "BMW?" I said yes - and he said you have lifetime - that was it. There was no discussion.

Thats awesome, I pasted on the sirius install when picking up my car 2 weeks ago. Now, I wish i didnt. I was told that they will do it 595.00 installed and out the door. Hopefully I will get the free lifetime. Thats a great deal for sure!

Check it out...this is a screen shot of my account from Sirius .com.
I have no idea why, but I got the feeling that you now get lifetime if you do the factory Sirius.

I have a lifetime subscription to terrestrial radio and didn't pay $.01 for that option.

I'm not sure if sirius still offers it since I haven't checked there site in awhile, but when I first subscribed to sirius about a year or so ago they had the payment option of life time. It was about 500 at that time if I remember correctly. If they still have that I would assume everyone that got that option would have life time saying your paying about the same price.

some shows are good.. but over all terrestrial radio doesn't compare to satellite.

Check the fine print, that subscription may only be equivalent to the lifetime of your car.

I'll be investigating this. My car will be going into production soon and I will add the Sirius option if I know it'll be lifetime. Otherwise--no.
Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if we'll get XM after the merger? |

Sirius subscriber here (2 radios). A normal $499 'lifetime' sub allows you to change radio three times and each time it costs you $75.
That may be the case here or maybe it is only for as long as you own the car. And for those of you extolling the virtues of terrestrial radio, you need to try satellite. I've had it since 2003 (XM) and the only thing I listen to on regular radio is my local AM sports station during football season. FM radio sucks.
