Is the new 6FL cable for iPhone out yet?

....I remember it was supposed to be out "Mid to Late August" - which would be about now

Just wondered if anyone had hassled their dealer into providing one yet....

(This is the higher current output cable than the "original" 6FL cable, which won't charge an iPhone)

If its the smaller one compared to the older boxy ones, then yes, I received mine on monday while taking delivery of the vehicle.

I'll get pictures. I'm not sure about new part # since I threw away the wrapper before my friend noticed the difference between mine and his.

So we need a new adapter for the iPhone to work? I have the original boxy one and it let's me play the music, but will not charge the phone. the iPhone keeps saying unapproved accessory or something...

The old adaptor WILL charge the iPhone, just at a low rate. The charge rate is so low that it does not trigger the charge indicator on the iPhone, but it is charging slowly.

Yes, for phone functionality only.

So what I understand is that if I get the phone, I will still have to get a retrofit in orer to control the IPod with the IDrive?

On another note, I have only seen a couple 335's in the DC area so far. I can't wait to get mine back there.
