Anyone else seen this?
A few weeks ago I got an ABS warning light on the car (2012 328i sport). ABS still worked fine however so I decided to wait until first scheduled service which was last week. In the interim, more warning lights appeared... seat belt, airbag.
Dealer said there was a programming issue with the car and reinstalled its software and gave me back the car last Thursday the 27th of December. On Dec 31, the ABS light came back on, but so did the others, and now also the check engine light. Additionally, car will lock and unlock itself randomly and the parking lights come on and off as they wish. Here are some photos of the PRNDL. The traction control systems are not functioning and car is stuck in comfort mode (cant select ecopro, sport, or sport +). ABS seems to be working. No clue about seat belt tensioners or air bag though. And the look on my face when driving down the road with the door locks cycling was quite something. Anyone else had this? Car is going back to dealer tomorrow in exchange for a loaner. Dont mind the TPMS warning (my winter wheels/tires dont have sensors).

I've noticed that this car is far more susceptible to sensor-based issues which result in warnings, faults, and failsafe modes. The car is so much more dependent on code-based logic issues which require re-programming.
I hope BMW is able to push updates / patches safely in the future ala Tesla. |

I got the airbag warning on New Year's Eve. I just power cycled the car. Hasn't come back yet. (Knocking on wood) My E90's dash use to light up like this every so often. After a couple power cycles they would go away.

On my old E90 the passenger sensor was faulty and the airbag was turned off even if a person was sitting. Since your car is brand new take it to a dealer and they would easily fix that.

Dealer called me this morning to explain that there is a faulty wheel speed sensor and they are going to also replace a central electronic module that maintains the car's software programming.
