Shuffle w/ 6FL option?

Ok, I can't find this in the manual or with toying with the idrive.

When I have my ipod in shuffle mode and then plug it in the car, it shuffles fine. However if I decide I want to listen to a certain song or artist, etc. and manually change it, it takes it out of shuffle mode, but I can't find where to put it back into shuffle mode.

Is it not possible to enter shuffle mode from idrive without having to manually change it from the ipod itself?

Once a song is playing, select it and press the knob. A menu will appear that has "random" as one of the entries.
