Enjoy all the reading about this issue. The service bulletin I found here was for builds prior to mine (April 2007), so I still have no fix. Luckily for me it's very intermittent.

I would take it in and try to make them follow that bulletin anyways. I've replaced an M-ULF2 High on an E92 conv. with the production date out of the bulletin's dates. I just submitted a PUMA case and they gave me the ok for it... Problem fixed. Hope that helps

Yea, I thought about doing that. It happens so intermittently, that right now I'll wait for another reason to bring the car in. Love driving it too much...

I talked to BMW NA YESTERDAY and they told me that as of then they WERE NOT AWARE OF THIS ISSUE . ..... so how did you get a PUMA on it ?? DO you have the number of the case so others can follow up ??

As of today there is NO SERVICE BULLETIN, NO RECALL and NO PLANNED FIXES

They did tell me that the iPod charging issue for 6fl customers will have a replacement Y cable to solve the issue of the iPod being dead when you remove it form the car.
