6FL annoyance on car start

Hey all,

I notice when I restart the car, the iPod will pick up where it left off. Unfortunately, it puts me in the "Playlists->Now Playing" screen as opposed to the album screen that was previously selected. Keep in mind that it continues to play the right songs, but it'll only show me the one song that's currently playing.

Additionally, if I want to go up a level into the artists menu, I start off at the top of the menu, instead of the artist that I was previously viewing. I consequently spend most of my time listening to artists that start from A to G.

Are there any options that correct these behaviors?

Thanks,
BoB

I don't think there is any way to change that behavior.

Quirks.

....and the 6fl is about a million times better than the old way BMW's worked with Ipods. I'll take quirks like these over having to "trick" the car into thinking you have a 6 disc player and those damn "BMW_" playlists anyday!

If I want an artist towards the bottom of the alphabet, I search by genre to narrow down the list. Or even album name if it comes early in the alphabet.

It's just typical version 1.0 design. No fix. But I wish they'd fix the FM switching problem.

You're lucky it doesn't revert to FM station instead of iPod, as mine often does...BMW needs a better solution to large volume music selection. Alphabetic lists of songs and artists don't cut it, making extensive playlists a must.

My question is how do make it go to "Now playing", if you want it?
