Thanks Guys
I've had tint on my passed 3 vehicles, never been ticketed - then again I'm usually driving the speed limit and try not to cause too much attention to myself. This tint is working great with this recent heat wave we're having! |

You crazy! How's driving around with 5% at night? I remember sitting in my friends limo tinted IS and you could not see anything whatsoever at night. Pretty dangerous imo, but looks good

stay out of Newport at night. I had tint like that on my 1.8t and Ive been ticketed 3 times. At night they pull u over for tint as an excuse to see if ur DUI status.

Thanks everyone
At night it is a little dark but I've driven vehicles in the passed with 5% tint so I am familiar with driving at night. If you want to clearly see out your windows at night I would advise against 5% tint. One thing I absolutely love is driving the freeways at night now because the other car's headlights behind me are sooooo dim with the tint on my car that it makes driving the freeway at night extremely pleaurable. |

I'm in Newport Coast - I imagine down on (or around) the peninsula or even parts of east side costa mesa / newport heights I might run into trouble with law enforcement - I don't drink and drive but I do appreciate the heads up. If they ticket me for tint, that'll be fine because the place that put my tint on said they'd take the tint off and put it back on for relatively cheap.

It is a (neg) trade-off going with 5% imo, but imo the pros outweigh the cons.
I drive the freeways regularly at night and just love the feeling of having all headlights behind me pretty darn dim. Don't get me wrong I can still clearly make out the vehicle(s) behind me, in fact i was able to make out last night a chp directly behind me on the 73 freeway (we were both going about 70mph-just cruising) - Driving during the day is always easy to see out of, some nights can require a little extra effort. (just how i feel) If I have time I'll try to take a couple more pics. |
