Good Paint Shop
Hey Guys,
I'm new to the area. Can anyone recommend a body shop close to Livingston, NJ that does good paint work at a decent price? Looking to repaint the rear bumper on my E46 M3.. maybe even just a blend since only the right corner is scratched up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Heard a lot of good things about martino auto concepts on LI...not exactly around the corner and not cheap but it'll be done right.

Gonna be honest, I kinda fucking hate hearing "You get what you pay for" shit. This is a monthly promotion, it's SUPPOSED TO BE CHEAP. Now I've never been to Impressive, so I cannot comment on the quality of their work, but I've seen good things & bad things.
Regardless, judgement should be made on quality, not on a price. |

I just had some repairs done and my rear bumper painted at MAC. Derek and Joe took care of me. Work came out perfect. It cost me a little more but it is worth it IMO.

After having the pleasure to work at MAC, I will say this....I have never seen a group of more conscientiousness employees in all my years of managing collision shops.
Working with Joe, Jon, and yes....EVEN Derek was a lot of fun. If only Joe didnt kick me and my mattress out of his basement I would still be there. |

Did you see their promotion thread, a member on here (Wilazn I believe) had their window trim painted and it was chipping. Yes they offered to fix it which is great but window trim should not chip after a year or two, it's on the side of the car. I've seen plastidip hold up longer than that.

MAC has an incredible reputation, but it will cost you a pretty penny too. There are plenty of shops that aren't even on this forum that do body work/painting at the same quality of MAC. But if you're looking for serious custom auto body work, MAC should be your 1st stop if you live on the East Coast. |

Thanks for all the feedback guys. In all reality I'm probably going to use the shop that's closest to me and the most convenient. Unfortunately LI is way far for me.

they're just more hush about it or vendors delete the posts before people can see it. yes, vendors can opt to delete any post they want. that is how these forums are run. the window trim really isn't a big deal. i don't see how something so miniscule somehow outweighs all of the other recent great paintwork the shop has done. |

Kearny Collision in Kearny, NJ. Ask for Scott. Tell him Patrick with the white BMW coupe sent you. Had both bumpers painted there. Looks good and a body shop guy who works with BMW told me whoever painted my bumpers did a good job.
