Can we all agree to stop the plastidip fad?

I know it's cheap and kinda looks decent if done right but seriously it's getting old quick. Something just wrong with covering a 50k+ car in $300 of cheap plastic spray on crap. I'm all for modding but I really don't get it.

So you dont like it thats okay but just because you dont you want everyone else to stop.............LOL

It is a temp thing to do to your car to change up the look and it peels right off so I am not seeing the big deal about doing it. The hole car is alittle much for me to want to do but the wheels is something I will be trying out

Lol I could give 2 fucks what people do with their cars, I just don't get the appeal of plastidiping your luxury car. Why would you take an expensive car and cover it in plastic spray on junk?

I get the temporary aspect I guess, but still confused by it.

With all due respect OP, if you don't like something that doesn't mean everyone should stop, I mean if people are doing it to their cars obviously they like it. If we are talking about things getting old quick, then what about all the people with the same m3 rep front end or the same PE exhaust (not that there is anything wrong with both, just giving an example).

With that being said the thing I like about modding in general is that everyone can customize their car to their OWN liking, not to your liking, or my liking, or anyone else's liking for that matter.

Also wrong section

I don't really like the use of plastidip either, but what are you going to do. These cars are dirt cheap now anyways

LOL- http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...whole-car.html

even 6speed members dip their cars and they drive porsches and other luxury cars.

If you have nothing nice to say, the dont say anything. if you're complaining about "cheap" mods, you have a 50k dollar car and you put knock off brand "Miro" on your car? SMH. but you did it because it was cheap and looks good right? hypocrite.

was going to point out the Miro 111's earlier but didnt want to get hostile. Changing the entire look of your car for $300 with the use of plasti-dip, cheap mod, yet costs 1/3 the price of the Miro 111's. Not hating on your wheels at all, I support anyone who mods their car because they like it or thats what they can afford but dont knock other people just because you dont like it.

Don't worry OP, it's like the 90's when everyone was putting fiberglass bodykits and huge spoilers with bright colours. Those eventually became "ricer" and plastidip will eventually become something of that sort as well.
