Cool LED door handle

Wow cool I didn't know that the E90 had this little feature. Bet that looks pretty trick at night!

Yes, all of the E90 cars should have these "puddle lights" as BMW calls them. Essentially it lets you see the ground around your door so you don't step on the ledge of the curb and twist your ankle? Or step in a puddle and ruin your <insert fancy designer here> shoes.

I hadn't seen a nice photo of them like this one though. Thanks.

Affirmative.

They are well cool.

I may be wrong, but I think it depends on what model you get.

I don't think all E90 have these "puddle lights", here in Belgium, it's only available with the lightning package...

those lights are really sweet, I saw them one night coming out of a club on a brabus benz, and I thought that was the greatest thing, Im not sure I like that very blue color, but maybee it shows the ground better at night, kind of like xenon lights for the doorhandles ?

Yes, they are LEDs. They have a very blue effect. They're standard in the US on both the 325 and 330, but they are not standard in Europe. They're part of some lighting pkg. In Europe, the cars can be ordered much more ala carte. BMW tries to tightly control configurations in the US to maintain a high value in the resale market and a luxury manufacturer reputation. In the US, I also think they project a very "masculine" image. I think it's why they didn't sell the lemon interior here. And I think, it's why they began their manufacuring run with the colors they did. Saving the deep green, barrique red, and sonora gold for later to be sure the car didn't get a "chick car" image before it's widely seen in public in silver, gray, navy, sports car red, etc. It doesn't fit the BMW image they cultivate in the US. Don't get me wrong, they want to sell cars to women too, but in the US, if a car get's the "chick car" reputation, it's a death sentence in the broader market. Sorry I went off topic, but that's my two cents.

I think this is a very astute observation.
