So I have a few questions about xm radio I really want to get it in my e92 so I went to the dealer and they said it would be around 1k... Is there any other way to get it done aside from paying the 1k at the dealer because that just seems crazy

1) get streaming SiriusXM on your phone...its better quality anyways (way better)
2) yes, you can buy parts used and code them for installation and then activate the radio...i don't have experience with this though.

For some reason my car doesnt recognize my iPhone it will charge but do nothing else what do I need to do to get it to recognize it?? It's so annoying

Really because when I just use the USB port my iPod works and it charges my iPhone just doesn't do anything else but charge it.... Idk why

The iPhone charges with just a USB cable but doesn't get recognized by the idrive unless you use the y cable mentioned above
