Center console screen

I have some curiosities about the dahboard screen and the screen on the center console. What in formation do they give you? How much costumization is allowed? How are the graphics and resolution of the screens? The big screen is 8.5" so can it be split in two, one for navigation and the other for radio? I know is a lot, but I appreciate you answers, thanks

iDrive has a split screen option, so you have have radio/nav visible at the same time.

From this thread http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=633568.

I also found the information somewhere else but cannot remember specifically where. I actually think that the smaller screens should be 800x480 which would be identical to the F20 1 series iDrive screens. Too lazy to actually back that up with links but you guys can look it up if you're really dying for the true information.

This is for the pixel dimension on the F20, http://www.4wheelsnews.com/2010-bmw-1-series-revealed/.
