335i M aero kit

I've just placed an order for a euro delivery montego blue 335i sport for august pick up. can't wait!

i'd like to order the M aero kit but my dealer says it's not yet available in the US for the 335i sedan....the one that is available won't fit the separate rear exhausts.

can anyone let me know an on-line dealer that might import it?

Also I saw a thread on here for a front spolier lip from 3DDesign in Japan that looked great. Does anyone know how to order it in the States?

cheers!

This is where I ordered my M-Sport kit, arriving in about 3 weeks. But this one is for the coupe & convertible only:

From your post, it seems that you have a sedan?

You can order the OEM kit from Mile One in US.

You should be able to specify dual cutout for the rear for your 335 sedan.

Yes you can order the M aero kit from the dealer. I had mine installed at the VPC on a March production 335 sedan.

Thanks for the responses.

I've tried two on-line dealers to order the part, including Mile One, but neither can get the part from BMW for the 335i sedan. One of them was even told by BMW that the only option is to order the 330i part and manually cut the opening for the passenger side exhaust.

does anyone have the exact part number (335i, no PDC or cold weather package)?

I wonder if the dealers that got it ordered it from europe themselves. Looks like there's a whole host of 335i, non 335i options for the coupe in the accessories catalogue but not for the sedan.

I got the same answer from my dealer and have not been able to find it on ebay or Mile One. What was the name of the place one ebay?

I called up my dealer today and they said basically the same thing. My plan right now it to order the kit anyways and run it without the diffuser until I can find the new CF diffuser for 335i

Thanks Kev, I didn't realise the diffuser for a 335i was a separate part until you said. I found out the part number off another thread.

51 12 8 043 239

Then I checked in with Jason again at Mile One Tischer BMW and it's available for order at $66.88.

301-890-3000 x2885
jreighard@tischer.com

They sell the regular aero kit on-line for $855 which looks to be the best all round deal. He said they'd ship the diffuser in the same box so it's no additional shipping

cheers,

I have a 335i sedan and, in February, ordered the M Aero Kit from the dealer and got it, with the correct rear diffuser. Am I missing something, or are dealers giving out the wrong information? The one I am talking about is in my pictures here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49931

If this is it, I can get you the part numbers from my invoices.

Kind of. They actually had a memo from BMW with instructions for the 335 and they had to order the additional parts for the diffuser and something else. Cost me an additional $100. But the dealer had the info for the additional parts and everything came together. I have the diffuser for the 330 that came with the kit originally, too.

Thanks !

So this makes perfect sense now but sounds like there's an additional part we need to order besides the diffuser that Mile One and most other dealers don't realise.

Can you locate the additional item # or even the BMW instruction memo? that would be awesome!

Your car looks great and I love the wheels. I was thinking of 195 18s but might need to rethink on the 19s.

cheers,

Just my guess but I believe theres a plastic underbody panel that is needed which goes under the front bumper to connect to the main engine underbody panel. Any maybe a different passenger side plastic mesh with holes to allow air to get to the oil cooler..... Just something I noticed when swapping an aero package to another car at work...

This is my experience. I had the autobody shop order the kit and there were a number of extra parts required for the 335. Painting is being done now. Should get the car back next week.
