Motorola RAZR V3xx with 335i Convertible
Is anybody using Motorola RAZR V3xx with 335i Convertible/couple? Does anybody know if V3xx is compatible with 335i?
Thanks. |

Yup. works perfectly.
EDIT: don't try the V3 cradle, though; it doesn't fit. |

Worst case, you may need to delete them and re-pair for the new names to appear.

Ok...after countless hours of 'ing and two calls to the dealership I am at my wits end.
My previous V3i worked flawlessly (with the car). Recently it decided to stop speaking (the speaker quit) so I replaced it with an AT&T branded V3xx. When I initially pair the phone and TCU it works splendedly. However, when you shut the car down or restart the phone the bluetooth link pops in and out. If you delete the profile on either side (phone or car) and "re-pair" the connection it again works splendedly of course untill you have to shut the car off or turn off the phone. Any one else experience this? Any one figure out how to solve this? thanks!

It's funny you mention it, but I had that exact same symptom with a very early software build for a V9x. I never did figure out what was causing it.
FWIW, my magical fix-BT-problems dance is this: - delete phone from car BT menu - delete car from phone BT menu Turn off phone & car -- leave the car locked for 15 mins or so to let the telematics stuff fall completely off Now turn on the phone, go back to the car and re-pair. Can you tell me what software version you have on your phone? |

Tried deleting both profiles & repairing the phones...no dice there Just came back from the AT&T store and the "new" phone is exhibiting the same problems. pairs up initially fine. When you restart the car or phone (cut bluetooth) link it cuts in and out Very frustrated right now. I am going to delete the profiles from the car and pull the battery terminals out over night...hopefully this may resolve the issue. Otherwise I am going to have to ditch the Motorola for another brand of phone. 20HRS Later: Replacement phone still keeps dropping and reestablishing bluetooth connection.....I'll be replacing the phone with a different manufacturer. Looks like the newer software loaded into the phone (my wife's v3xx works fine albeit it's 12 months older) does not work with the E90 TCU. To bad for Motorola and ironic as the TCU is also manufactured by Motorola.

Mine was an R26111. The R261 and R272 V3xx's are fairly different phones. I didn't think they were keeping the "V3xx" name.
Check your wife's phone -- I bet it's an R26111_U_x_y_z. I'm sure the symptom is software, not hardware, so if they replaced the phone with one with the same version I wouldn't expect any change. On my V9x it went away with a software update. You're right to return the phone, and make sure they know why you're doing so. |

Long time for update.
My wifes software for the V3xx is an older version. AT&T refused to sell me an older V3 eventhough it was out on display I went with the Blackberry Pearl....& it I am happy to report works wonderfully with the car. I guess the moral of the story it check here first before upgrading or buying a phone.
