I am using the the 6fl with the correct cable and I hear lots of engine interference. The CD and AUX works with no problem. Please tell me this is not normal. This really makes the sound quality suffer. I have tried other ipods and same issue. Please don't tell me this is normal and I paid $400 for this crap.:mad: I just want to know before I go to the dealer and make them fix the problem.

It's not normal. I played my iPod for 6200+ miles across the country with no trace of interference.

It is definitely not normal.

I would first suspect that there is something wrong with the "correct" cable-- if you are hearing the engine making interference, my suspicion would first be that your cable has a bad ground in it causing you to hear alternator whine.

Fix hopefully will be as simple as a replacement cable.

That is exactly what it sounds like. Next stop the dealer. I figured it wasn't right because no one else was complaining. It is just horrible.
