CP-E Midpipe & FMIC fitted

Hey guys wanted to share a few pics that i took of a few weeks back but never got around to posting for those who are curious regarding fitment and are looking for some great options.

Up in the air

OEM vs Non Resonated CP-E

Installed on the car - No fitment issues or rattles whatsoever

FMIC OEM vs CP-E

CP-E FMIC installed Absolutely no trimming of anything (Very tight Fitment)

Enjoy the pics.

Is it possible to demannd a soundclip? ;D Im thinking of this as a "cheap" version of getting som god sound instead of going with the full eisenmann system. Itīs also nice to know if the drone increase or decrease. And the price of the mid-pipes i also important to know ;D

So the CPE and the ETS FMIC requires zero trimming. Thanks for the information.

Don't remember the exact price since i purchased both parts at the same time directly from CP-E.

I will work on a getting some sound clips soon. I would not call this a "Cheap" Version. The pipes are designed and fit great. I opted for this setup for 2 reasons.

1) I wanted no restriction in the mid pipes in hopes of increasing flow and getting a bit more noise out of the car

2) I Did not feel like buying an expensive noise maker was justifiable when the stock rear can is so light. I spent good money on a full Super Sprint Stepped headers to muffler system in my E46 M3 and did not regret it since the stock oem muffler was extremely heavy and sounded like garbage.

Sure did, but i coupled that with some Cobb software. I did notice a bit of lag is now more apparent since the intercooler which should be expected with a bigger core. The car does run the oil cooler at highway speeds and feels like it pulls harder the faster you go. I am waiting for cobb to release and update to hopefully further wake the car up. although i can tell you the car is shredding tires quite nicely in 2nd gear at highway speeds like never before.

Yea the fitment is on point and thats what led me to pick this FMIC. Cp-e has a great detailed write up on FMIC and research they found on their site and thats what led me to go with them.

Love the 18 inch volks. Ride is a lot more comfy and car accelerates faster.

Just threw the hpf intercooler on my VO 1m the other day. Some trimming yes but its a 7" core and if your going for more horsepower its a great mod. Especially mated with full bolt ons . I have ar dps to berk mids then and eisenmann race (new design ) muffler the sound is amazing. Not to loud at idle like a meistercheift but it opens up great on throttle and between shifts gives the craziest sounding pop.

Very nice! And seat of the pants power difference? This is ridiculous I know, I've already got all the same pieces minus axleback but just zero time to install. I'm living vicariously through you guys!

Any pictures of the trimming required on the HPF intercooler?

You might have better luck running a custom boost target with a JB4.

If you email Terry he will help you out and he has great response time.

The Cobb feels a bit laggier because it lowers your ignition timing curve and runs more boost. The intercooler actually does not change response time very much at all, unless there is a boost leak.

The JB4 will keep your stock curve, but allow you to run the maximum boost possible before getting timing pull.

Also, you can "stack" the JB4 on top of the Cobb. :http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...light=cobb+jb4

They are both awesome tunes. Cobb could also maybe send you a more aggressive 1M map. I believe they are still only on stage I for the 1M.

I just got off the phone with them. They're are pretty much waiting on a 1M with more mods or full bolts ons to come up with more maps. This wait is killing me.

I do you find the sound of the straight midpipes? Too much? Any clip?

Thanks
