new paint ....
hey i just wanted to hear your guys' opinions on painting my car from space grey to sparkling graphite or jet black .... i wanted a black 335i in the beginning but was impatient so i settled for a space grey one ... dont get me wrong, space grey is an awesome color but i just always loved the way the 335i looked in black ... it might be a little too early to paint it but i just wanted some opinions ... any input appreciated ....

You have to be out of your mind. Why would you pay a lot of money to devalue your car? If you don't like the color, sell it or trade it for a new one.

If you have a lease sell it to someone and go buy a black one.

It depends, if you are gonna strip the whole car (as in pull out the whole interior, take out the engine, ect.) and actually paint the shell from the inside and outside then its not as bad; but if you are just gonna take out the exterior pieces and cover the engine as much as you can (imagine that you went to a car meet, they'll say wow man that's a nice black 335, can we check out the engine? You pop the hood, they lean forward to look, what do you think they'll say?); You're better off selling it and buying a different colored one. Just my 2 cents.

DON'T DO IT, unless you plan to keep this car forever. The value will drop b/c its not the original paint job. You'll never be able to convince the next person that there wasn't body damage somehow. Plus, I've never seen an aftermarket paint job thats anywhere close to OEM (I could be wrong though). And if you've never had a black car, be prepared to constantly keep it clean.
