getting screwed on 6fl
Ok, so i took delivery of my 335d 2 weeks ago (still have to post pictures).
With 6fl. Of course, the cable did not come. So, in advanced i took the brochure we had in the forum and showed it to dealer and parts responsible. The told me they never heard about it, but were going to check on it. Ok. So today, they called back. And said the cable exists, in europe and in the usa, but since i have navigation professional i cant have the ipod cable since it is incompatible!!!!!! What kind of bullshit is this? I'm almost sure that it is not incompatible!! What do you advice me? Make them order a cable, which obviously they no nothing about or change dealer? In last resort, can i order a cable from another country (UK) or something? i posted this topic in another forum by mistake. please take it out |

In the USA we don't have the designations for Audio and NAV like you folks in Europe do, but I don't believe there are any compatibility issues at all. Certainly not here - and I think our system is equal to your "professional".
Ask the dealer to order the part for you anyway, regardless of his opinion.

Your dealer doesnt know what he is talking about
They probably looked up the wrong cable The proper cable has no compatibility problems and works perfectly with Nav Professional ( USA NAV is NAV Professional ) Tell them to get you part number 61 12 0 422 099

It's really a shame how many posts can be legitimately started with "your dealer doesn't know what he's talking about" from pre-sales to service.
Good luck - the cable will work just fine!
