iPod worked WITHOUT 1/8" plug
I plugged my friends Nano in today and played it with JUST an iPod white cable into the USB port. I didn't know that was unusual until I read some on here that you're suppose to use the iPod cable that came with the car. It played the sound just fine and there was nothing plugged into the audio jack

Did it recognise the playlists in your ipod as well? Could you browse the songs by Genre, Artist, Album etc? I am still waiting for the correct 6FL cable and knowing that the normal white ipod cable does the job, would help me a lot. Thanks in advance.

i have a 30GB ipod video and a nano and both work fine with 6FL and just the white apple cable.
but that's because i converted all my itunes m4p to mp3 (unencrypted) and that my ipod is seen as a FAT32 mass storage device. only plain old mp3 (unencrypted ) would show up otherwise , not your itunes purchased music Everything is showing up fine, i can browse by artiste/genre/album etc... and the structure is the exact one i have on my ipod , same for playlist. the neat thing is i don't have to use that ugly Y cable and have plenty of room for other stuff in my armrest. I also have that sexy cover case which save extra space too PS: THIS DOESN'T WORK IF YOUR IPOD IS FORMATTED FOR MAC. |
