Ipod?
Is BMW going to send the cables for my ipod to hook up to the car? CA said you can plug in and just play through stereo just not idrive ...

for those that purchased the FACTORY IPOD option.
Cables should be provided by the dealer/parts-shop/or BMW via mail. the FACTORY IPOD option allows integration with the IDRIVE via the cable. ppp

So I wont be getting the cables since I didnt purchase the ipod opt? If so where do I get the cables?

parts dept ... figure on 300-400 for parts and install w/limited IPOD functionality.

Guys maybe he just wants to hook up via the aux port.
Just go to radio shack and get a short cable for under $10. And a monster charger if you want. Probably better ways to do it now -- search back before the 6fl usb option took over all discussion.

Or do what I did, get an FM transmitter/charger or the AUX cable. You dont have the display to look at, but you save a crapload of $
 The one I bought never has any interference and works great.
