How do you Negotiate for a car out of your area

I have an E92 on order, but the date keeps getting pushed further and further back. You can see from my Sig what i ordered. MSRP 50,945, sales price 49,945. I will do a 24 month lease, which with no money down gives me a payment of 720 plus tax, using the buy rate.

I've located a car, coming into a dealer in Florida, that was ordered by a customer but the customer is backing out. The only differences are

-Heated seats, instead of ZCW. Totally fine by me
-Black Saph instead of Jet. I was torn anyway
-No CA. I don't have it now, don't mind it.

The car is on a boat set to hit the port in NY/NJ on 5/6. The dealer says, that if we can come to an agreement, he would charge me $500 to have th car delivered to an NYC area dealer. I don't have a problem with this.

Problem is, he won't match the deal I was getting, he wants full MSRP. Also, not sure he is offering the buy rate. I'll pay the $500, but I want everything else matched. he is coming up with payments around $900.

How would you play this?

Are you serious. You got $10,000 off the car.

If you want his car that badly, you'll probably need to take it on his terms, after all,he has the car and right now ,they're more buyers than available vehicles. You could try to get a production number from your local dealer. You can also continue to look around and see if you can do better or secure a firm order and just wait !

I figured. I would of waited for as many months as needed for that kind of deal

This is a tough one. He most likely can get MSRP when it comes in. I would want to know why the payment is that much higher. $1000 difference should not make the payments that high. What rate/money factor is he using? Any other hidden costs?

I agree. With the demand being so high, it will be tough. In my area most dealers would not budge from MSRP.

Sorry to hear about all the ordering problems man. Were all going crazy waiting for our cars but yours keeps getting pushed back. Can't really help you with the out of your area order but hope everything works out for you. You should have a nice long talk with Pamela and tell that B*tch to stop lying to you and tell you what is up with your order!

Why would your particular prod # get pushed back while others cont to go forward? Seems like you would have a lock. Can the dealer push yours back to get others ahead????
Pungent, stings the nostrils...in a good way.

I was wondering the same thing. From reading your posts, something just isn't right. It seems you are getting different info even from the 800#.

To me, MSRP is totally out of the question. It's not the money, but the principle. The money is $1000, sometimes we pay that for convenience, etc. So again, more than the 1k, it's the idea of taking something that's not exactly what you want at MSRP that tells me you should nix the idea.

Again, the climate may have changed since Oct., but I think you live in the best area for locating a BMW. I used northern NJ pricing and had it matched in Phila. I think you should either wait, or shop around again...$900/mo. for a 3 Series is just way too much. M3 maybe, but no a regular 3 imho...good luck.

Take a chill pill and wait for the car you ordered. After you take delivery, every anxiety you had will be a distant memory. Trust me.

First off...I would NEVER pay $900 a month for a 3 series. NO CHANCE.

The issue isn't the wait...I actually ENJOY the wait, as sick as that sounds. The issue is, I need a car to get around. I can't sit for a month without a car...

If I can get my CA to give me loaner, and I don't care what it is(A ford focus would be fine), then the problem would be solved.
