To lower or not to lower???

Hey guys and gals,

I've had my 2008 335i for a little over a year and I decided to start with some simple exterior mods. So far, I have blacked out the chrome trim around the windows, put on a new matte black grille, new wheels and tires, and have ordered blacklines, and new black badging. I am thinking about lowering a little but wanted some opinions first. What do you all think? Car looking ok? Anything else I need to do? Any and all comments welcome. Thanks.

Looks low enough to me with those 20s. I say put the money you'd spend on suspension into a new front bumper since it looks like yours has a few scrapes, or start on the performance mods.

Car looks good!

The lower the car, the more problems you'll have. I'm sure all the Cali guys in here will come in and tell you to slam it to the ground though lol.

Yeah, I have messed it up a little. Pulled up too far at the fire station and hit the parking cement which had a piece of rebar sticking out of it.

Looks fine as is. Go for a front bumper or splitters next.

Yes, just the 20s and my itty bitty rubber bands.

I agree it looks nice w those 20s fills the entire fender already.

If u r gonna lower it..than no more than .5in to 1in max..as if u go past that u start getting sway bar geometry issues..shortend suspension travel and even may ride the bump stops on the dampers..

Lower is not always better handling and definitly not faster

There's no better comfort than stock suspension. I say just get some spacers and get an Mtech rear.

Car looks plenty low, I think you're on sport suspension anyways .

Money would be better spent on spacers+new bumpers or some perf. mods!

Car looks good, only spring for the suspension if you want to transform your driving experience, you don't need it for aesthetics.

With the 20s and running 275/30 20 on the rear and 245/30 20 on the front, how wide of spacer do you think I need? And how much room with that give me?

Car looks nice! I wouldn't drop it, only thing I would do is smoke the reverse lights on the tail light black, imo would set it off just right with the rest of the red/black theme.
