Review: 3000k Sonic Tuning Xenon fogs
After seeing my friend’s xenon fogs, I decided to get myself a set of 3000k. Thanks to Sonic Tuning, I received mine within a couple of days after placing my order. I have been running them on my E90 LCI msport(9006) for a few weeks without any problems. No errors on idrive, no flickering, and received lots of compliments. For the price I paid, I cannot complain.
Compared to the 3000k halogen bulbs I had before, the difference is night and day. My fogs now flood the ground with yellow lights, whereas, the 3000k halogens just make the fog lamp housings look yellow. Installation was a breeze, direct plug and play. The kit came with more than needed to install them(zip ties, double sided tape, mounting bracket, screws), there are many places to mount the ballast with the supplied brackets. I placed mine by the horn(L) and on top of the oil cooler(R). Here are some pics I took during installation. I'll get some night shots up asap. Thanks again to Sonic Tuning for their great customer service and products! Last edited by oel; 07-01-2011 at 12:38 AM.. |

Looks good. Sonic Tuning has been turning our some good products.
There looks like there is a lot to that kit (as far as wires, ballasts, and resistors). I got mine from High Performance Bulbs and there is a lot less to hook up. But you paid a lot less than I did. |

this is what I was wanting to know...I've been looking at getting some but I was scared of having error codes. I've had 3k fogs on every car I've owned...I love the look of them. Especially in contrast with HID headlights. I think I might have to get a pair. Def post some night pics
