So I'm guessing we might see the first M5s hit the streets in May?

Won't be announced until probably early next year (for the US model).

But, the UK and German market prices have been released. See http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=546666

There's some conversions to US dollars in that thread, but keep in mind that different markets pay different prices for BMWs (with the US usually paying less, relatively speaking).

A big factor is because it's a 4 door family sedan with slot of safety features!

4 months is correct... if you want one, sign up fast... Rumor has it that the allocations on the 2012 MY M5 will be slim similar the the 1 Series M coupe...

wait, does that make sense? EOP for the F10 ends in 2012? I am assuming facelift will occur then?

Interesting that the F10 model year 2012 M5 will have a short run of 4 months of production.

Didn't the U.S. launch of the MY 2006 E60 M5 go the same way? It started production in October 2005 (?) and ended in February 2006 (?) as the MY 2007 E60 came out in March 2006. I recall the standard E60 was on this cycle, and I think the M5 followed the same cycle - or did they produce MY 2006 E60 M5 until the fall?

Oh, and if BMW limits the allotment of 2012 M5s to the U.S. to the same numbers as for the 1M ... feeding frenzy!

So it looks like just about everything from the 2012 model year is ending June 2012. From other threads, we know all the 2012 3 series and M3 will end production in June 2012 too, including the brand new F30 sedan which won't even begin production for US until sometime in early 2012, probably right around the time the M5 is starting production for US as well.

I would not be surprised to see MY 2012 1 series, X3, X5 and Z4 EOP dates of June 2012 as well.

Just curious if anyone has seen or knows where a production schedule for E70 and E71, X5, X6 may be located? I have seen the 3 series and now the 5 series.
