M3 replica fitment issues!!!!!!help please

Ok.....I am dealing with a 335i e90 guy at the body shop is doing work on my car,now I understand these replica parts don't fit exactly like OEM,but my body shop guy calls me and tells me the M3 replica front bumper won't go on because the fog light hits my oil cooler assembly..and that my M3 rep. Side skirts won't stay on because there is too much stress on them and they just pop off..- ordered my parts from **********s if that makes any difference? Please let me know if any of you guys have had these same issues and what you may have done to get them to work!thanks in advance

I know on the e92 you have to trim or take out the oil cooler and brake ducts in order for the m3 bumper to fit. Actually have to trim quite a bit...I just installed mine.

Side skirts...I have no idea.

Sideskirts sounds like an install issue.

Your bumper won't fit without trimming... I bet that's what they mean

This is the one you bought?

And they say it should fit perfectly, so I'd be bitching them out right now.

Straight from **********s' website:

No need to worry about fitment as the bumper will fit perfectly
If they won't help you out, then I'd just file a claim with your credit card company saying the product was falsely advertised and the seller refused to cooperate. Should be a very simple process.

Seriously? I realize that it should have pointed out the need to trim... but do you really want to start a claim over something that has been touched upon by threads on this forum multiple times?

One shouldn't have to scour forums when a vendor claims that their product fits perfectly and makes no mentions of anything requiring modification. Making a credit card claim should only be done if the vendor refuses to take the item back, though. I'm not talking about installing it and making a claim.

The E90 M3 and E92 M3 style front bumpers will require slight trimming or removal of the brake and oil cooler ducts will be necessary to install the pieces. I'm not too sure what the issue is with the side skirts as we've never had a single issue with that piece and it does sound like an install error. Feel free to have the shop give me a call and I'll be more than happy to walk him through the install. Here are a few more pictures of this kit on another one of our customers cars.

Check out Michael's thread and see how much he had to trim. Yes... I know he has an e92, but i've read that e90 guys have to do some trimming also. It's is definitely not a direct fit but any reputable body shop should be able to make it work.
