Aftermarker HID bulbs. Lets see 'em. (non-oem, 5000k temp+ only)

So our 4300k is bright, but I might sacrifice some function over style.

If you got those sexy looking aftermarket D1S bulbs in your car, lets see 'em.
I'm debating between 6k and 8k, I'm afraid 8K might look too blue for my taste.

Please post where to buy if possible. I'm interested in buying a pair.

Go with 6k. 8k is too blue I think.

6k from different manufactures will yield a different accent color for example a Phillips 6k will yield a diffifent accent hue than say a mtec 6k d1s. phillips produce a clear pure white with a slight purplish hue on initial start up were as the mtec 6k is more of diamond white with a slight blueish hue on start up. personally i like the Phillips better as its more of a purer white and mtec are in my opinion closer in color to 7k until initially warmed up. The whiteness of both will be clearly evident but what doesn't easily translates well in photos is the slight color accents i.e white with either blue or purple shimmer, those have to be seen in person to be fully grasped.

I currently have Phillips 6k and the mtec licence plate lights and i believe both compliment each very well

I love my philips 6700k that I picked up from e92-lighting. It is just the perfect color for me and matches my LS3 angels pretty darn good. It didn't sacrifice too much output and things actually pop out a little better. The color is slightly less blue than in the pic which was taken by a droidx.
