the impact was hard enough to make my sunglasses fly off my face

just having a chill slow drive back home after a midterm in school and this happened... sigh... 6 years i got my license 6 years of clean driving record. and now in this year of the rabbit i guess luck ran out

fortunately no severe damage to the car. front crash bar unmoved/fully intact thus airbag did not deploy. no contact with the engine block as well.
only the radiator and lights and stuff were damaged and of course a little bit of the (pedestrian safety) crumple zone went in

imo large suvs should be banned because you cant see in front and anticipate the driver in front

yup as long as the engine is running. its on motion detect otherwise to catch vandals at nite

that sucks. Never seen your color 3 series before and looks great against the F14's

Can't say it was your fault but more the lexus not braking hard enough. You couldn't see shiet until the lexus came to a dead stop after hitting the car in front.

One reason to give greater stopping distances with these kind of cars. He was tailgating the car infront of them too. What is more dangerous is the way that your motor was going under the Lexus.

My dad used to say, "until you have been in a crash you are never going to be a good driver"

I think he was trying to say that the scare of the impact and the reactions required and how to deal with the situations come from experience.

Good that people are all ok I guess.

ah man sorry to see that happen man. thank god youre ok! ure very lucky that no major damage was done to the car and luckily its primarily cosmetic(although a lot unfortunately).the real april fools joke was that you thought ure car was totaled/ major mechanical damage but really its just cosmetics

IF they guy in front of you was paying more attention and giving more time to brake this would have never happened. He was clearly not giving enough space.

I didnt like that highway you were on. No shoulder and a very tight lanes.
