Ipod Ringing sound

I am currently waiting for my y- cable so in the mean time i have my ipod connected to my 07 335xi via a AUX cable. When i play my ipod i have a load very high pitched ringing noise coming out of all of my speakers. This only happens with my aux cable. Did any one else have this problem and if so what did you do?

i will post again once i get my y cable if it makes a difference

Make sure "LEV" is centered and not above the middle point on the head unit

so 4 weeks later i have FINALLY received my Y cable and i am happy to say to say the ringing went away
