Battery dead... dealer wants $450 to replace.
Car is around 40k miles under 4 years, so still under factory warranty. Bought the car at the old BMW Seattle building back in 2007. Car was having some trouble starting and started throwing codes left and right + limp mode.. Thought it was HPFP or battery, got a call today from my SA saying that its the battery and that its due to my "negligent driving habits". I was at work so she left a voicemail saying that it's going to be around $450 to replace. I'd be intrigued to see how BMW Seattle handles this... (regardless of what people say, I think the battery should be covered under the manufacture warranty) It's going to make or break their reputation with me..
Link to thread made my another member with same problem... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=446367 |

Don't know if it matters much but I had my battery covered under warranty at 26000miles, 09 335i with similar symptoms...what do they mean by negligent driving habits? That seems like a pretty biased statement. good luck man.

some people seemed to have no problem getting it replaced under warranty and some people have had to take legal action against their dealership and BMWNA.
