Japan...

Lo and behold, I am expecting orders to Japan. From the little research I've done, I know that it'll cost $4-5k to get US-spec cars up to spec, but anyone know anyone who has shipped their M3 to Japan and lived to tell the tale?

I'm particularly interested in the potential resale value (click)

Japan is right-hand-drive. Does that change things at all for you?

Japan also has many left-hand-drive import cars, esp European ones.

Doesn't Japan still have limitations on how new a car you can take into the country? It used to be nothing newer than a '74 but I've been told recently it's now nothing newer than an '07.

Does it depend on the car or age or anything? I know people that have sold Suburbans for $50K in Japan.
