I want to confirm that this is the one that is really for the non 335i's (like my 2006 325i. Is the part number 51710406937. I know you posted a link to this in a later post, but I just want to make sure.

Did this bar stiffen up the chassis as advertised?

Yes, this is the same part. Designed for non-335

The reason it is designated non-335 is because it will rub on the Air box cover.

For 335 owners this is a non issue if you run a DCI or CAI intake which does not use the air box. It can also be moded to fit a stock 335 - see DIY listed above.

And Yes, it does stiffen up the front end - the stock firewall strut brace on these cars are weak.
