Last week of wait is the hardest part!!!

I ordered my 335i on the 28th of December. The wait's been OK until now, I've been calling every now and then. Now, the ship just landed in San Diego today, and expected to hit Port Hueneme tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that I can take delivery by Tuesday. I'm really on my toes right now, so excited about the car, lol.
I'm going crazy here, lol

^My car was shipped via NYK and I wasn't able to track it. That was surprisingly OK for me. I slowed down to calling the 1-800 number once a week. But now, it's crazy, I'm calling on the hourly! lol. I need to slap on a patch to ease the feeling, haha.
I think there is another member that was on my ship as well, Grande Silicia. I hope the fact that I live within an hour to the VPC and Port helps with the delivery time.

I know how you feel! My car should have arrived today at the VPC. Assuming it takes 3-4 days, I'm hoping she can make it down to Long Beach to get on the ship leaving on Saturday for Hawaii. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until the next one, which is next week wednesday!

Just a quick question. I know it's going to the port in Oxnard next, but out of curiosity, what does this mean..Next port "TBN".."To Be Named?" I got this from http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/ by the way.

I'm supposed to pick up at the beginning of next weekend, just missing the weekend. It's soooo painful.

I'm on the same ship, delivery in Seattle... I was originally told the 20th for delivery, but I'm not sure if that was before of after the ship was delayed... waiting to hear from my salesman on that one...

Talked to my sales rep just now, My car was delivered to the VPC today, and is scheduled for release on the 18th... 5 days through the VPC... then 2-3 days to deliver to the dealer up here, then depending on what time it arrives, I will get the car supposedly either the evening of the 21st or on the 22nd.

I'm probably with you then. The only diff. is that my sales person says he can't get more info that I can. (He didn't even know the name of the ship the car came in).

I'm hoping to take delivery on next Tuesday, because after that, I will really be busy

Edit: Whispre-when you call the 1-800 number, has the status changed from in transit to in vpc yet?

As of now, the 1-800 number went from in transit to at port waiting for vessel. I assume it's at the port waiting for a truck to take it to the VPC=/

I just called the 800 number "your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel"

It was scheduled to be released from the VPC on the 18th... so if it is truly waiting on a truck then I have to assume the either got it done earlier than expected, or they are expecting a 3 day wait for a truck... shrug...

As of now, the OC says it's at the prep center. But the 1-800 number still says at port waiting for ship.

Interesting. my 1-800 number went from in transit for several weeks straight to waiting at port for shipping vessel. I never got 'at pvc' when I called. On the BMW site it does show that the current status is at PVC right now however. Man, I want to pick her up already!!

I know how you guys feel, seriously. I'm not joking, I bet we all remember where we were when we got the call! Me, I was driving on I-95 and my CA said, "Is now a good time?" Actually it wasn't, but since I knew what she was calling about I said, "Yes!" That was a Thu. and there were a series of phone calls, false alarms, and the truck pulled in Fri. morning (it was expected on Thu. evening).

You'll get your cars, and here's hoping you thoroughly enjoy the delivery experience. If it's your first BMW as it was mine, you will.

The 1-800 number changed to 'in transit' this morning. And yes, this is my first Bimmer. Actually first Euro in general.
