2008 red 335xi w/sport,premium,cold weather 90k miles for $16k...BUY?
i just found this car near me. 2008 335xi red with black leather, sport, premium, cold weather, 18" STAR SPOKE ALLOY WHEELS(increased top speed limiter), BMW ASSIST, and Satellite Radio packages. Car has 90K miles but is still under BMW extended warranty until 100K. Car is absolutely mint and is listed for $16K bucks...i may even be able to get some off of that. So what you guys think...awesome deal?

well i just read that bmw has just done a full recall on the hpfp after abc ran a story on the problem so i think im in the clear there. after the winter i will bring it in for the recall check. If my extended warraty is to 120K thats even more awesome. I will get everything checked out.
i will keep the car for about 4 or 5 years and i dont drive much so at 5000 miles a year the mileage will even out to about average. |

carfax is good. does show one accident and it was a hit on the front. was not a rebuilt title car. i am a mechanic so i know what to look for and where to look. so i feel confident that i can find any problems if there are any

car looks great but sounds too good to be true. I've been looking at 335's for a while and have not seen one for less than 20k even from private owners.
325,330,328 all sell for about 16k Ask yourself why is this one so cheap? |

listen this is not my first rodeo looking for a car. i know it does seem kinda low for what it is but the carfax is clean other then the front end accident. I am going to look it over every inch...im not taking any chances. if it does not work out i found a red 328xi with 40K on it for about the same price by me. i just hope everything is good on the 335xi

I ran a KBB on this and the price was close to trade-in for a car with this equipement and miles, considering the accident. This was surprising to me but I guess these cars are getting much more affordable. Same car with only 20k miles came out at nearly double the price.
edit: are those really 18" star spoke wheels? I thought that meant 189's. |

Why all the hostility? You came here for opinions but it sounds like you've already made up your mind.
335s have had the HPFP warranty extended to 120k miles - nothing else is covered past 100k (if the car is CPO.) |

well i just checked it out and its a non cpo which means it does not have the bmw warranty. they give you a 1 year powertrain warranty with the price listed.
when i got there i started her up and it cranked ok but ran like shit cold and then the check engine light came on. continued to run like shit and rev like shit(i had it on for 10 mins). im pretty sure its the HPFP and he kept telling me its nothing and they will take care of whatever the problem is with the check engine light...they have to to sell it anyway. also heard a rattle coming from the exhaust under the car when i revved it...heat shield or something. i shut the car down and turned it back on and it ran 100 times better...again i think the hpfp is going out. i drove the car around and did get on it a few times and it ran and drove perfect. felt great and plenty of power....i liked it. I tried and tried to haggle the price down but the fact is its a really really clean car for the mileage and its by far the cheapest 2008 335xi in 500 miles. so he would not budge and i dont blame them really...it is very cheap. so the way i left it is i was going to do the online credit application with my pops when i got home and for that price he was going to fix the check engine light problem and the rattle i told them after the credit is excepted i wold put a down payment with my credit card over the phone. I also told them when i come to pic it up if the rattle is still there and car still runs like shit its a no deal. so what you guys think? |

I think based on what I've read here and 90k miles + front end crash + it's not running well = keep looking.
$0.02 Sorry! |

well i did keep looking...
i found this car 5 miles from me and just went to checked it out and its legit. super clean and super clean carfax. 2007 335xi sedan for 23K. here is the link http://www.maxspeedautosales.com/use...4082c114b9.htm i talked with this guy for a while and talked about used car sales cause i actually used to be in the biz. he showed me the auction receipt from when they baught it from bmw financial and its a grand over what they are selling the car for. it has been there for 4 months and they just want to get out of it. it has no warranty but they have to give me 60 days or 2000 miles from when i take it. what do you guys think of that? Just so you guys know i do appreciate all of your input and it is really helping me out. |

I got the I-Drive for future value protection, and now I think it's one of the best features on the car.
Good luck! |

I saw this car in person when I was looking for a 335xi myself. Ended up with a different one bc of a more desirable color combo (for me, that is) and a little better price, but when I took a look, everything seemed fine. Car had no issues turning over, no long cranks, no odd sounds, and the car was very clean overall. The sales guy there was very helpful and friendly. If you can afford to pick this one up, do it!

ya the dude ryan there is a cool dude. they say they had it on the lot for 4 months so they have to be willing to deal.
what color combo did you end up with? what did you end up paying at what miles? my fav combo is red/black leather combo but i would love to find a dark grey/red leather or black/red leather. |
