HPF and Lutzperformance
So about 7 months ago i decided to buy the HPF intercooler from Lutzperformance and wanted it black with white hpf stencil.
Easy enough right so i get my intercooler in about a month and a half later Im stationed in Germany i say this so you know shipping was like 75.00. Pull it out of the box and it looks just like i wanted but with one big problem The Hpf stencil was put on upside down. So i get in contact with Lutzperformance and they get in contact with HPF they ask me to send pics so i do. So after some chatting we come to the agreement instead of them paying to ship there and back $75 each way i will Download a stencil and remove the old stencil and redo it (you have no clue how big a pain in the ass this was) and plus now i have to find and buy high temp paint in Germany. In Return they will send me a k&N drop in Filter for my troubles i thought that was a fair trade. So a couple of months goes by no Filter so i get a hold of Lutzperformance They contact HPF ( i never spoke to HPF directly ) They tell me they forgot to send out the box and it was still there and they would send it out asap . Well here i sit 7 Months later no Filter and No email reply's back Seems like a pretty shitty way to treat a customer who would spend good money . Well i just though i would write about my experience |

I am sorry to hear that man. I'm sure HPF makes a great intercooler but little things like that, I mean WTF, don't they have quality control or something? Who supervised that, lol. I would call HPF directly and demand a new one sent after you pay for that one to be sent back, but with compensation for your troubles in having to wait. I don't see why not, they make $$$$$ selling those M3 kits which take so much of their time. Great company and products I'm sure, but damn after your story I don't think I'll buy from them. Hope everything gets resolved and Merry Christmas

Sorry to hear what happened mate and I'm shocked that either nobody realised the stencil was upside down or they didn't see it as a problem. If it were me, I would have sent the FMIC back at their expense both ways as it was through no fault of your own. Good luck with it.

sorry to hear bro, seems very unlike HPF or Lutz. I would suggest calling HPF directly and talking with Brendan or Dave...i am sure they will fix the problem. Who did the stencil? HPF or Lutz?

pretty shitty of them, not sure who is at fault, whether HPF or Luts, Luts should have made sure everything went out smoothly after your initial complaint. but HPF should have some sort of QC to avoid such an easy mistake, that is so easy to spot out, I mean its their own logo, how can they not make sure its perfect?
they are both great companies, sad to hear I too would have returned it though |
