Nature and stupidity
Ok so here's the whole story.....I love my car. I've been slowly putting it togeather and and finally got it to a point that I love. Then I leave for winter vacation and my school gets hit by a tornado!!! Planes are smashed to bits, buildings are destroyed, cars and flattened...and my car end up perfectly fine. I let my friend borrow the car (since his fingers were broken and he couldn't shift a manual anymore) and he decided to be nice and wash my car when it was dirty. But, unfortunately for me, he took it through a drive thru car wash  He's a really good friend so I didn't/am not going to say anything. But my baby looks like isht. It literally looks like I drove through a whole bunch of cobwebs. Are there any good detailers in the Daytona Beach/Orlando area/anywhere remotely close to me?? Or are there any gifted detailing people here? Any help would be appreciated...I really wish there was someone like GTA in Detail here

Damn man, that's a bummer. Good of you not to flip out on your friend but I'm sure it's tough. I always recommend guys hit autopia.org and check the regional sections to look for detailers. Usually if you find someone you think looks good you can research their posts and get a good impression of the kind of work they do.

oh...those look bad.
Look at the detailing forum and maybe try some stuff yourself. Professional help will probably be needed.

Well they look hideous but luckily it's just a lot of light surface marring. You're definitely going to need a polish whether you do it yourself or have it done. Amazing what a brush wash will do. :/

your school..Embry Riddle, guess your learning to fly planes...enjoy the E90 now cause when you join the working pilot world, your finances are gonna suffer, but on the bright side it's a great job..when you get to the top!

Ah sweet, Embry Riddle, I looked there.
Just a nice wax should do the trick.

Dude I'd be sour, but it's hard to really blame anyone. He was just trying to do a good deed. I guess there's a lesson for all of us to either not lend out our rides, but if we do, leave specific instructions not to wash it! (or tell your buddy exactly which car washes / detail shops you'd allow).
