billmister's e92 and questions
As promised here are some pictures.. I have more to come, it's cold outside, and it's a bit crazy finding a spot to take pictures without people all up in my business hating on my and my car, so here goes hope you like.
http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p120/billmister/ Enjoy!!! MORE TO COME!!! My question is the following. Their was a freaken G35 black with black tints TRYING to race me for MILES!!!.. I'm still breaking in my car so i don't let it go past 3,500 rpm's. Now when he was speeding up next to me i stepped on it a LITTLE bit but as soon as it turned 3,500 i shifted up and then that's when he pulled up and passed... i just maintaied speed at that point. Anyway, Why are all the freaken G35's trying to race me... Last night me and my girl pulled up next to a g35 at a red light.. Light turnes green and he slam on the accelerator. WTF??? Anyway when you guys are racing do you press the "DSC" button once and then race?... Like first to second to third gear?... I feel like my first gear really doesn't pull hard, and it takes me time to switch into second gear, at that point it's like the next car is going to be 2 cars ahead. I went to a little clear area with my girl and tried pulling from first hard and then second, car pulls after 3000rpm, so since i'm still breaking in, i have to upshift at 3500rpm. Then i pressed the DSC button and the car pulled better but the rear tires slipped a bit, no sound though, is this the way to do it when i want to race? I know racing is illegal, but just in case, would i take of the dsc?... Say your someone and a car like g35 get's next to you. Do you take of dsc and then put it in first and wait until both of you guys are ready then slam on the first gear, shift into second at 5500rpm, and then second to 6000rpm and continue at 6000rpm all the way down?... Just a little knowledge please... nothing to specific, i'm going to use the search for that, but just want to know.. Anyway hope you guys like the pics.

Another guy got his 335i! Congrats!! I'm still waiting, so I pretty much live vicariously through the people that get theirs.

Very nice, let the G35s have their fun for now, because after the break-in...they won't stand a chance.
Hell, they're dead even with my 330 until about 100, that's when I gain the edge. Your 335 is way quicker too. |

Pressing the DTC button turns on DTC but limits DSC. If you want it full off you have to press and hold the DTC button until you get the yellow traingle warning. With DSC full off the car is the fastest because the power doesnt cut out when the tires start spining.

you wont flip outta control just be somewhat easy getting it going. Every car has its quirks. Just practice shifting it correctly and eventually you will figure out how to drive it fast.
