Problem with Folding Side Mirrors
So i have noticed that after i fold up my mirrors at night, the next morning when i lower them down, the position is messed up. [and i mean way off, sometimes the driver-side mirror is pointed upward so all i see is the damn sky]
Not too sure what could be causing this but i have noticed it on both mirrors and on multiple occasions! Its annoying re-adjusting the mirrors every time i take off. Is this a known problem ? |

You sure it changes when you fold/unfold? Mine used to change position when i unlocked the car. Same shit just happened to a friend too.
It was the 1st time for my SA too. I had to go/back multiple times. They upgraded software and tried to fix the thing but they couldn't figure it out. At the end they ordered whole module from germany and it's all good now. GL |

Ahh i see yeah it probably has nothing to do with the folding of the mirrors..(its just that i always fold mine in parking lots) Im going to pay close attention when i unlock the car then and see if they move out of stored position
Thanks for all the input! |

Sooo i tried to "program the fob" with the new settings but its still not working. Either I am not doing it correctly, or the mechanism that stores the settings to the memory buttons (1 and 2) is faulty.
Not sure if this even has anything to do with the folding of the mirrors. |

do you have iDrive? with e60's there's a setting called the last seat position that if you don't disable via iDrive causes a slight creep/movement with the side passenger mirror...

Yes, same problem. Driver-side mirror always repositions itself for some reason (I do not have a memory function on my E91). Have to re-adjust the mirror every time I use the car - very annoying. If anyone has a solution for this, please let me know....

yes something is entirely messed up with the memory functions...
And i do have iDrive so later i will look into any seat settings... I literally walk up to the car, hit the fob to unlock and witness the mirror reposition...sad. |
