E92 Owners with Black Dakota and Burl Walnut - please post your interior pics
It's been hard for me to find pics of Dakota Black and Burl Walnut trim for the E92. Please post interior pics if you can. Thanks.

Anyone have this? I will be picking up a Jet Black with Black interior and Burl Walnut. I'm having some serious regrets that the whole combo inside will not look elegant and will look too dark. Can someone post some pics?

Thanks for posting so quickly! The color combo actually looks good, better than what I was thinking. Now I remember why I picked this combo... plus, I'm a bit tired of the beige and dark wood - so 90's (although it still looks great too)!

Off topic: How did you get those pictures so bright? What setting did you use? Awsome pics.
I have the identical interior and I love it. Black leather hides wear and creases better than all of them.

I like the combo myself, I didn't really have much of a choice in it, its what they had with the other options I wanted, but I like it for sure... In broad daylight the wood is pretty bright, so it still contrasts nice off the black. My other choice if it had been available would have been black with dark poplar, a little more stealth lookin. As far as the photos go... I used a long exposure, with a tripod. for example, the last one, the detail of the shifter knob area was a 58mm focal lenght, 20 second exposure at f/14 at an ISO of 200, set on tungsten white balence. edit: I think its obvious, but ya never know... I did shoot it at night time, with all the interior dome lights on - Not so obvious: I kinda cranked the review miror around towards the passenger side a little bit to reflect some light over into that corner too. |

That's the thing. I know it's technically burl walnut, but as I've indicated in another thread, the burl walnut for the coupe looks much lighter and different than that for the sedan. Also, having examined the new X5 considerably, I've noticed that the burl walnut on that vehicle is much nicer than the burl on the coupe. WTF ? Even my dealer was confused. Couldn't understand why the coupe's burl looked crappier than other vehicles in the bimmer lineup. Come on BMW, these types of differences should not occur.

Personally I think Burl is too dark with black leather, I like the popular better, here are 2 pics, sorry I stole these from someone I can't remember who but I loved the way the Popular looked with black leather I saved them to my PC here they are:

I have the Burl Walnut on Black in an E92. It definitely is not lighter than in the E90. Here's some pics. Although I think only one might be of the interior.
