Dealer is Jerking me!
Hello all I need some advice. I picked up my baby on 12/12 and when all the paper work was signed they owed me $500. I was told to come back in 2days to get my money. Well long story short I still do not have it. I just spoke to the mananger today and he says I will have my money monday (I do not believe him) I really do not want to make a stint because these people still have to fix my car when needed but my patience is wearing thin any advice will help!

they don't have to fix your car. you can collect your money and go to a different dealer for repairs saying yours was an asshole who didn't want to give you your change.
i'd give it until monday and see what happens. if they don't give it to you then, i say make a scene there until they do even if the manager has to pull out that cash out of his pocket. if you have a valid argument, i don't see why you shouldn't be aggressive about it. if none of that works, there is always a higher power -- BMWNA. good luck!

Just curious, being from Long Island myself, I'm wondering which dealer it is you're having a problem with.
I echo the service idea from the last post. I bought mine in NJ and will be taking her to either BMW Oyster Bay (near where I work) or possibly Competition in Smithtown/St. James. I've heard good things about Oyster Bay. Definitely do not let this go. If you're owed the money get it back. Even tell them you'll be taking it elsewhere for service if you're not satisfied. Maybe the thought of losing potential service dollars will scare them into opening their pocketbooks. |

You Need To Show Them Who's The Boss. Dealers Get Aggressive When They Sense Potential Weakness. Customers Always Right, If They Give You A Hard Time, Make A Scene And Give Them A Worse Time. Your Paying Them, Have Them Work For You.

Thanks for all the advice
I just got my money! Thank god these people at hassell bmw in freeport are somthing else. I had to wait 4wks to get my money on a over payment for my trade in. If I owed them money they would have tried to have the car toad or maybe worse I am just glad it's over! Thanks all!
