Ok unless I totally misjudged the tailights, the Z4 M/// won right! I mean the 335i kept up with it through out the beginning, but the Z4 M/// just kept pulling and pulling and pulling. That is what you call a high speed performance car. Capable of accelerations from either 0-60 or 90-130 in good speed.

The 335i is definately more of a US Freeway/US street car with capabilities high speed stableness (125mph+), but that M// car looked really solid and planted to the road yet still hauling some major ass.

That's pretty much been the consensus when comparing a stock 335i vs. a stock M (Z4/M3). They are very closely matched until higher speeds (80-90+) then the M's start to pull away. They are close enough that it's a drivers race the whole time.

Based on the 1st shot of the speedo in the 335, I'd say 120+ at that point. I think they end up around 150.

hmm, it's very hard to comment on this as there are too many details missing. i can totally believe, thought, that ///M would leave a non-M car in the rearview mirror 80mph+

Yes this is Artz330. I am posting from my GF's sn as I was ban because someone with a 335i said that they would beat me and I stated a facted that he wouldnt.

Anyway to the Point.

No there are no cops on that bridge Ever... or even after the bridge its a dead area.

The first race is from 40MPH in 2nd gear to 155mph. We are dead even from 40-63MPH when I jumped into 3rd gear from 63+ is when I started to pull hard.

2nd race we both spun 1st all the way through, I was spinning really bad and could not catch traction in 1st gear untill i let off slightly 2 times before getting into second gear.

This is where the Auto tranny had the advantage He can step on it and go. While i have to play with the clutch, After driving the car the Trans in DS is super quick. So he got the jump on me and once again I started to pull hard in 3rd gear +

The story with the passanger goes as follows:

He weighs around 180-190 hes a pretty big kid.

My M weighs 3,230 Lbs
an E46 M3 weighs 3,415 lbs
Which is a 185lbs difference. I made that difference up with the passenger to be a little bit closer to actual E46 M3 weight.


As for the Edit - I am sorry this was late last night and I was not staying up to edit anything so i just put it together.

When it is warmer out and our tires catch better we will redo the launch run.

Next we will be running a stock Evo MR vs the 335i this should be interesting.

Like I said Before. The 335i is a really really quick car But I do not beleive it is faster than an M3 in a straight Line.

For the Record I ran a 12.9 @ 107 with a 1.8 60' at 6000 miles back in sept.

So i think the 335i should be around a 13.3-4

My girl finally got her 328i that BMW exchanged - some of you may remember that her car had a faulty engine and blew up at 3000 miles.
The 335i is a very nice car. We are going to be trading out of the new 328i into an AW-on black E90 335i - Possibly a manual trans because shes been driving the M and she likes it. Should be fun cant wait...

You should seriously consider the AT w/ paddle shifters (if you don't mind 'not' using the clutch and MT) and of course, the XEDE for A LOT more power (to blow by the Z4M Coupe of course)!!!! Great video though...thanks.
