VIVID has really established themselves as a major player in the aftermarket performance world recently. When I first visited them for stuff for my EVO they were in a hole in the wall facility and their flagship car was a lowly WRX. Now Dan has one of almost every high end performance car you would dream to own AND the dude moves more than $2,000,000 in parts A MONTH! And if you ever need work done, call Jeff Aguilar in their shop and tell him Adam sent you. He will take care of you.

Beyer Motor Works is in Chandler, not Scottsdale. At least I dont think they have a shop in Scottsdale. I trust them more with my car than any of the local dealers. They worked on my M Roadster for many years.

I'm also in Phoenix. Just joined the site. Watching/waiting for the right 135 to bounce on.

I'll be driving one within the next couple of weeks.

I work for Agency Power (www.agency-power.com) who shares the building with Vivid and have met nfiddy5 a few times here. I'll be doing the Agency Power downpipes soon with before and after dyno runs for you guys. Dan is trying to talk me into the AP turbo back exhaust too but I'm in love with my quad tips right now. We'll see....

I'll be dropping by Agency Power this afternoon for the tour.

Now that AP's making CF in house, I will recommend it for sure!

Might be able to stop by Fire Chicken...

P.S. They are just finishing the install on my Agency Power downpipes!

Did dyno runs beforehand yesterday

http://www.agency-power.com/blog/age...are-installed/

I was disappointed with the numbers with my new JB4 though.....

Being limited to 91 oct here doesn't do the JB4 any favors.

I was told that I shouldn't have dyno'd it on MAP 5 either. It's not a really dyno friendly map.

Can you put octane boost in the tank and run MAP 2 with the downpipes installed? Anyone tried it????

I don't know much about the juicebox and its maps, but it should be able to self-adjust to higher octane fuel. There is a gas station on Wild Horse Pass (Love's) that sells Sunoco 101 unleaded at the pump. Also, there is a Valerie station on Chandler Blvd. and 44th that sells 100 unleaded at the pump. I ran it in both my EVO VIII GSR and E46 M3. Both were tuned for a 96 mix though. Its still worth a shot. And that dyno and car look REALLY familiar. Bwuhahahah.

Map 5 is inherently conservative and it only learns / adapts at WOT. It is not dyno friendly; it is intended to be faster on the road, not provide numbers.

Do not use octane boost.

I ran MAP 5 on my last track day and it was blazing fast for 3 laps, then it reduced the boost to 9 psi. Now that you say how conservative it is, maybe I should have ran on Map 1.

I sure wish we had 93 octane here so I could run MAP 2!!

NFiddy5: Can you put in a couple gallons of 100 with 91 and come out with 93+?

I have switched to map 1. Map 5 was too spikey for my tastes, 1 is always consistently smooth + quick.

I met a guy at Pavillions a couple of weeks ago with a super modded evo, he only filled up gas at that Loves....10 bucks a gallon!

I think you can mix 91+100 halfsies....that would be >93

wildcat767676 probably hit the temp limiter on the jb4.

What ever you want to try, I would try it quick. The N54 does not like the heat and we are climbing fast.

Yeah, just want to try the higher octane for 1 tank for fun or for the next track day.
