What's your best and worst value for money mod?

Self explanatory really. What's the best thing you've done to your 3 Series that gave you the best value for money and what was the worst / most disappointing?

I'll start the ball rolling:

Best
Short shift gear lever in black leather. Feels great in the hand(!) when changing gear.

Worst
New 'silver' front E90 LCI indicator bulbs - they look less orange than the standard bulbs but not really that silver either. For £30-odd I was disappointed. If they'd been a fiver...

i would say exhaust. besides for making the car sound better, its the smallest performance gain and one of the most expensive mods to purchase for the car

Yup. The bulbs in the LCI E90 are not available anywhere else than BMW - the standard orange ones are expensive enough! I think they are PSY21W bulbs or something...

Best:

DIY Plasti-Dip Matte Black Kidney Grills - $0 ($7 if you don't already have a can of Plasti-Dip)

I took my time with it and put on 4-5 layers with minimal overlap and 30 minutes in between each layer and it turned out beautifully.. best bang for the buck IMO

Best and worst in the same time: M5 SMG shift knob.

Best because it looks and feels awesome and is a huge improvement over the bulky stock shift knob.

Worst because it cost 300 EUR in parts and cables. And since my car doesn't have an ashtray I had to pay my dealer 300 EUR to get power cables routed under the shift boot. Making it a 600 EUR shift knob

Best value = DIY blackout grille and silvervisions ($5)

Worst value = LED angel eyes that give off errors messages even when they're advertised "error free" ($100+ down the drain)

Best: golf tee mod (actually a medical hose clamp, same effect)
Best: OEM alum pedals. Look great and feel good under my feet every time I drive.
Worst: License plate frame painted factory JB from JLevi. $45 I think. The $10 Pep Boys frame would have done the job...
