Questions by soon-to-be E92 owner

Hi all, I'm considering purchase of an E92. Just had a couple of questions as I'm trying to figure out how much more I'm going to need to spend to tweak the look.

1) Does the 335 sit lower than the other models? I've seen a 335 w/stock rims in my garage and I'm ok w/the way it sits. But I'm likely to get a 325 and add 18" OEMs so I'm wondering if I need to do a drop to make it look similar.

2) Has anyone seen a E92 with side skirts (M-kit or others) but stock bumpers? I'm fine with the look of the stock bumpers but I like the way side skirts make the car look wider and lower. It'll obviously be way cheaper if I only install side skirts but I'm wondering if it'll just look mismatched and incomplete.

Thanks!

The seat is adjustable, but 335i is coming with sport seat, therefore, u can't do the same as 335i provided seat IMHO. Even more, 335i is coming with sport suspension, that has made 335i lower than other lower model too.

You don't need to copy orasking this stuff, as everyone has different taste, I do saw an E92 and an E92 mix and match with different brand's bodykit, although they are looking weird, but as far as the owner like it, we can only take it as an "dont" example.

I think you are talking about the M-tech side-skirt, you may ask some owners here as they are using M-tech bodykit as well, they may provide you with proper information instead of me, hope this can help u a bit ^ ^.

Thanks!

Im using M-tech bodykit, but I dun think mtech sideskirts are wider. If you like the sideskirts which can make your car looks wider and lower,M3 style sideskirts would be a good choice. But as I remember,M3 sideskirts for M3(any brands)are not fit E92 non-m3.We can only get the 'M3 style' but not 'M3' one.Check this out :

Haha, yes, I am talking about how low the car is to the ground. Maybe the car in my garage has sports suspension. I'll take another look tonight to see how much clearance there is between the tire and the fender.

Thanks Renus. Its not that I want to copy anyone, I just don't want to see some example so I don't end up as a "don't" car.

Suyi, those were some great threads that you linked me to. I'd probably want to go with one of those M-style skirts, but the fit problems many people have do make me worry....anyone here in HK have the LTBMW or M-Force skirts?

Also, does anyone have a BMW sales agent that they recommend I buy from? I have the car of a guy I spoke with, but I just didn't get a good feeling from him, and I'd like to give the sale to someone who's treated folks on this board well.

HKM> Unless there is a special run-out sale for the pre-facelift E92, I would personally wait for the LCI model!

Yes, I got this info from a friend and already stopped by the dealer to confirm. That's why I'm looking to buy a 325 coupe now. Comes with comfort key and sunroof. I noted that it also comes with the paddleshift gearbox. Is that standard or an option?

BTW, other than 28 extra horsepower, does the 325 have any standard equipment that the 323 does not have? I'd think they'd need to include some other features to justify the $100K difference. And does anyone know why the E90 323 and 325 only have a ~$40K difference while the E92 and E93have $100K difference between the 2 models??

the paddleshift is an option...but then you're correct there isn't much of a difference aside from the engine...just makes you think it's a better deal since you're getting almost 20% discount....

I'm pretty sure the agent said that the paddleshift will be included as standard on the 325's that are on sale.

Wow! That is a bargain! I already thought I got a good deal last year when I paid $399K (+18K for sunroof) for my 323 E92, but this is so much better!
