Moving: SoCal to Florida
Hey
Im looking to move from LA to Florida, I did some searching online but was completely lost within 30 minutes. We're looking for a recently built home 3-4,000 sqft, something with no lake behind it (alligators?). I saw some homes that did not have a wall/fence between the homes, which is a must for us. I also read most of florida doesnt speak english Now I have nothing against colored people as I am one myself but would prefer an area where I wouldn't have to pickup a third language. Since we're from LA, we'd prefer a city thats alive, not looking for a ranch style city. I've been told its wise to stay >15 miles away from the ocean because of the hurricanes. So if anyone could throw out some ideas or opinions that would be appreciated. Thanks in advance |

Try Weston. Anything in dade county and your In that second language zone, and it's not "most of Florida" it's just Dade County really. Have you found a job? And why the move?

I've lived in the Tampa Bay Area for over thirty years. There are many nice places here. I know that the home prices are def in the right place, since I'm buying my first home. I can think of many areas close by in Pinellas County that would be beautiful. (And no I'm not trying to sell you a home..... lol)

it really depends how much you willin to spend on a home, IMHO
but other then that, most ppl down here know english (or try, like spanglish) unless you go to places like "pablitos cafeteria" (just an example) then your good .... but other then that, im pretty sure you gonna love the city |

I love Boca Raton, but it gets hella boring hella quick. also stay away from down south cuz we're all water! Head up to Central FL. (orlando and tampa) If u want a busy city move to Orlando. Tampa is nice too. But I think you'll do fine in Orlando. |

Dade/Broward area is good cause youre close to everything. If you like to party then stay closer east(beaches) and if you just like to hang out southwest broward is nice (west miramar, pembroke pines, weston, plantation, davie) South Florida is great, im sure youll grow to love it

Hialeah is not ghetto its more on the reffy side mostly old folks though. Try Coral Gables or Coconut Grove both in the city and extremly nice.
