16" vs. 17" stock rims - difference in handling and fuel consumption?
Dear All,
Its about time for me to consider changing my stock tires on my 323i. I've always wanted to upgrade to 17" rims as I feel that the 16" rims make the car look rather bulky and modest. Just a few questions as I am completely ignorant when it comes to tires and rims: 1) Will the handling be any difference if I switch to 17" rims? 2) How about fuel consumption? 3) Ride quality? I am quite adamant about upgrading to original BMW rims only as I think they generally look better. I am happy with good quality 2nd hand rims though. Pls msg me if you have an extra set sitting around and wanting to sell! |

I would say...don't change to 17"....
Either go to 18" or more. There's no diff on the outlook , to be frank. Its a waste of your money. |
