mtech wheel

I hear this is a MUST do mod to any non m. I didn't notice much of a difference bettwen the 2 wheels until now.

I have a 335i with sport suspension so i guess i have the sport wheel? Im not 100% sure if the cars without the sport package have a different wheel.

Now im wondering if theres a difference between the actual M3 steering wheel and the mtech wheel? If i want to get it, do i have to change my airbag, trim and buttons as well? Cause that would be a huge pain in the ass im thinking.

Whats the deal with the performance steering wheels? I really like the look of those, esspecially the electronic one! That with a Rix boost guage would be HOT!

Anyway just wondering because i would like to upgrade to a better steering wheel. Also what sponser can i count on to get that at a good price?

Thanks guys!

All coupes have the sport steering wheel and thus you have the ZSP airbag that will fit either the M3 or M-sport steering wheel. The trim(unless you want the ///M trim)/multifunction buttons/ZSP airbag will transfer over, it will be a direct swap.

The main difference b/n the M3 and M-Sport wheel is the M Sport has the perforated leather on the sides while the M3 is smooth all around. It's subjective which one you will like better. I was driving around almost 2 years till I switched to the M3 one.....not sure why I waited so long, the ZSP wheel is almost a joke compared to the M3/MSport.

Agreed. I was definitely disappointed when going from my e46 ZHP with the perforated and thicker steering wheel to the e92 steering wheel. Right now, I am kind of debating b/t getting the M sport steering wheel or the M3 side skirts from LTBMW.
