New to BMW, need opinion on demo 2008 E90 335i. Help please!
Alright, so... I ran into this while doing some research online. I already looked up the pros and cons of purchasing a "demo" and have concluded that warranty of the car started the day it was put into service but as long as the price is right and it is not a buy back, it doesn't matter. (Source: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=371324) Here are the specs:
2008 335i Sedan Alpine White/Beige Mileage: 9556 Sports, Premium, Auto Transmission, Comfort Access, IPOD and USB Adapter and Navigation System. Carfax says estimated length of ownership is 8 months BUT it is a "factory demonstrator" for $36,777. What do you guys think? Any help/advice is appreciated! I would be careful with a demo...those are the cars that customers test drive before purchasing and are pushed to the limits typically before they're ready. They often undergo hard acceleration and braking before the engines are really broken in which could lead to problems down the road.

I'd be extremely wary if I were to buy a demo but it is more likely that I never would even consider buying one.

+1, i' will not buy demo.
when i went to purchase mine, the sales took a demo and "demonstrate" what is the limit on the 335. he warned us if we have any upset stomach or anything before he did the demonstration. he did the acceleration test, braking test, what is capable with DTC, DSC, what happens "WITHOUT" them, and he even tried to drift the car @45mph and showed us how stable the car is... LOL

Since the demo is out of question, what would be an ideal price range for a CPO'd 2007/2008 E90/E92 with < 10,000 miles? With the following options:
Steptronic Auto Navi Premium Sport and Cold weather package From my understanding (I've been browsing through a lot of threads), an 2007 E92 would be anywhere between $34k - $36k and a 2008 E92 would be between $36k - $40k. What about the sedan? Thanks. |

have you checked "weatherford BMW" by Berkeley? i saw they still have an 08 E90 335i auto, sport, premium, navi, not sure if cold weather, CPO with 8k miles, asking around $36k. i think there's room to talk down the price.

i was searching for a CPO to import to China two months ago. a 2008 335i E90 with < 10k miles could be bought for 34k (fully loaded). this is all from just email convos, maybe lower if i could have actually gone to the dealer. The imported price would have been $60k + lots of hassle to import. I went with a brand new 325i E90 instead for approximately the same price. good luck
